The end of the season with the "new" Memorial Fosson: all on track from 9 to 11 April

After the double shift, everything is ready in Pila for the youth event: the competition program and the dedicated protocol to respect the "bubble".

For over ten years the Fosson Memorial has represented the season opening for the Children's world of alpine skiing, this time however, after the postponements of December and January, the team event has been included in the calendar of events of national interest in April. The Pila event will therefore represent the grand finale of the 2020/21 season, with three days of racing from 9 to 11 April. After the cancellation at the beginning of winter, several ski clubs had expressed their desire to find a date, also in the Easter period, to continue competing and ensure a national comparison even to those athletes not qualified for the Italian Championships or other events. The numbers are not yet available, the registration operations have just started and will end - as required by the FISI regulations - at 12 noon on 7 April. The first answer, however, is undoubtedly positive because this shift is involving many companies that have never before participated in the Team Challenge. The program is now almost definitive and follows that of past years, except for the parallel team which will not be there in this particular and delicate year. Space only for individual competitions: Friday 9 April giant Allievi (valid as the last test of the Energiapura Children Series) and slalom for Boys, Saturday 10 reversed programs with boys involved in the giant (also valid as the last test of the Energiapura Children Series) and slalom Allievi; Sunday 11 giant Boys and slalom Pupils. In addition to finalizing the competitive program, the organizers are defining the health protocol to ensure maximum safety in the various areas for athletes, coaches and professionals. The Fosson Memorial will take place behind closed doors and all participants will have to undergo the Covid-19 test within 48 hours prior to arrival and deliver the negative result before receiving the ski pass. It will therefore be a “bubble” Fosson Memorial that will close a difficult but regular winter season for snow sports.
