Gardena dominant in the Challenge of the youth event that will end on Sunday with a modified program and the recovery of the female giant in the Boys category.

Fog and some snowflakes in Pila for the second day of the Fosson Memorial, weather conditions that forced the Aosta ski club to close the Junior category program prematurely. Only the male giant was completed, albeit with several interruptions due to poor visibility; the women's competition was canceled.
No particular problem instead for the slalom. South Tyrolean hat-trick in the giant of the Boys, first of all; on the Bellevue victory for Alex Silbernagl (Seiser Alm) who finished in 1''02 "85, preceding David Castlunger (Ski Team Alta Badia) by 36 cents and Alexander Klotz (Ritten Sport) who finished in 1''04" 35. Valle d'Aosta, on the other hand, scores a hat-trick in the female Allievi slalom. In race-1 Giorgia Collomb of La Thuile won in 45 ”50, ahead of Tatum Bieler of Gressoney (45” 96) and Francine Rollet of Chamolé (46 ”04).
The male protagonist is Val Palot, with Jacopo Claudani (45 ”43) and Michele Moretti (45” 74) in first and third place; second place for Pietro Antonio Fabio Trentin of the Cortina ski club 18 (45 ”58). In race-2 first and second place for the Aosta Valley. The winner was once again Giorgia Collomb (La Thuile) in 48 ”96, preceding Alice Pompei from Livata (49” 08) and Tatum Bieler from Gressoney (49 ”19). Federico Collini (Sporting Campiglio) won the men's race in 45 ”63, overtaking Jacopo Claudani (Val Palot; 45” 69) and Patrick Comploj of Gardena - team B (45 ”97).
After two days, the Ski Club Gardena remains in command of the Ski Club Challenge, increasing the advantage over Sestriere. The defending champions have 9849 points, against 9199 of the Piedmontese. Third place for Crammont, who grabs the provisional podium with 8214 points. Fourth place for Gardena (team B) and fifth for Val d''Ayas. Tomorrow the final day of the eleventh edition of the Fosson Memorial, with a change of program. After the cancellation of part of today's giant, the Aosta Ski club will make the Boys compete again in giant, with the only female race which will also be valid as the last stage of the Energiapura Children Series; the students will be on the track for a traditional slalom, with two heats. At the end of the awards ceremony, in the competition area, in compliance with the protocols imposed by the Fisi.
