Sixteen athletes called up by the technical director Selle, who will compete this weekend on the Swiss snows of Davos.

The Cross-Country Skiing World Cup this weekend will make a stop in Davos, a famous ski resort in the Canton of Grisons. On Saturday 12 December the male and female free technique sprints will be staged, on Sunday 13 it will be the turn of a 15 km male and a 10 km female, both in skating.
The Azzurri who will take part in this racing weekend will be sixteen in total; for the men's sector we will see on the track: Federico Pellegrino, who like Davide Graz and Francesco De Fabiani will compete on both Saturday and Sunday, Giacomo Gabrielli, Michael Rastelli and Micheal Hellweger (who will only compete in the sprint on Saturday), Giandomenico Salvadori, Stefano Gardener and Simone Da Prà, who will compete on Sunday instead.
In the women's field there are seven blue summons: Ilaria Debertolis, Elisa Brocard and Francesca Franchi will compete on both Saturday and Sunday, Greta Laurent and Lucia Scardoni we will see them only in the sprint on Saturday, while Cristina Pittin and Anna Comarella will take to the track only in the Sunday race .
The leader of the blue team, Federico Pellegrino, expressed himself through the official channels of the FISI in view of this race weekend: "The sensations are good, I know the Davos track very well. After Ruka the condition is improving more and more. , the training in these days has gone very well and the track seems to me to be well prepared ". The vice-Olympic champion also commented on the story that involved the Norwegian team: "I respect the decisions made by Norway, Sweden and Finland. I am aware that the risks are the same as we ran in Ruka, there is currently no zero risk . I am a bit sorry for the management of this situation by the leaders of our world, it is as if we athletes were passengers on a plane left at the mercy of turbulence. also out of respect for the military sports groups and our federation who have made important economic efforts to allow us to train regularly, and for those who are managing the organization of the various stages ".
