A spontaneous, warm party for the little star of the country who became champion. Marta Bassino was welcomed on Monday evening, upon returning home from Vermont, after her first triumph in the World Cup in the giant of Killington, from her Borgo San Dalmazzo which was tightened around the 23-year-old Piedmontese bringing, in the center of the country, beyond 200 people who celebrated the blue with cake, sweets, sparkling wine and above all that sense of friendship for a countryman who was always tied up at home. Marta said she was "surprised and moved" (the photo of champions.cn speaks clearly) for the gift she received, with the boys of the "Fan Club Marta Bassino" in the lead, who have always followed and supported her in these years ; Bassino will stay a few days at home, having decided to skip the Lake Louise races to better prepare the Sankt Moritz super-g on December 14th, but above all the next giant scheduled for Tuesday 17th in Courchevel. That of last Saturday at Killington, with Federica Brignone in 2nd place behind her team-mate, was the tenth Italian double, at the women's level of World Cup races; the last time it happened in the Bad Kleinkirchheim descent, on January 14, 2018 with Goggia, Brignone and Nadia Fanchini, but in terms of pure "one-two", we return to Karen Putzer and Denise Karbon, first and second in the giant of Lillehammer of 16 March 2003.
