The weekend in Lienz, as well as the 2019 ski season, closes with the third women's slalom of this year of the World Cup, which obviously sees Mikaela Shiffrin starting from an all-out favorite on the whole competition, Vlhova and Holdener in the first place.
The American champion will start from the starting gate of the 1st race, scheduled at 10 am Sunday (drawing by the Norwegian technician Haarala, the second at 13.00 with Livio Magoni to trace), third after Troops and Petra Vlhova herself with the bib number 2, while with 4 we will see Wendy Holdener and with 5 a Katharina Liensberger back from the first podium of her career in giant. But be careful also for Haver-Loeseth and Swenn Larsson, very positive at the start of the season.
There will be the return to the race, after almost two years, of Melanie Meillard at the start with the bib number 21, while the first of the blue seven will obviously be Irene Curtoni, the only one in the 30 and who has drawn a good number 10.
The Valtellinese must give a signal in a very difficult period, but the one who in Killington had been clearly the best of Guadagnini's group in terms of performance, before going out in the 2nd heat when she was even fighting for a top five, is a Federica Brignone eager for redemption after today's bitter 4th place in giant.
New bib number 31 for the Aosta Valley (in this sense the conditions of the "Schlossberg" are concerned), to precede the other five protagonists of the blue slalom, namely Della Mea (36), called to get the first seasonal points, Peterlini with 49, Rossetti (56), Midali (63) and Gulli with the bib number 65.
