The FIS has announced that due to the high temperatures, lack of snow and unfavorable weather forecasts, the women's World Cup races in Val d'Isère have been canceled.

From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 a combination, a descent and a super-G were scheduled in the Savoie department. Next weekend a giant and a men's slalom are scheduled in the same place but obviously, even in poor snow and weather conditions, it is easier to prepare the Face de Bellevarde in time for the technical races of men rather than the Oreiller- Killy for women's fast races.
The FIS will communicate, hopefully soon, the location of the recovery of these races that were scheduled in a location that is often subject to these cancellations. It is curious that the whole of these races is called Critérium de la Première Neige when the first snow, more often than not, is not there.
