Cornelia Huetter is back on skis, eight months after the umpteenth, terrible injury, suffered in the descent of the Soldeu finals with the cruciate lesion and meniscus of the left knee. At Reiteralm the first corners, without experiencing any kind of pain as confirmed by the same 27-year-old native of Graz, although the return to the World Cup is still a long way off, if we think that the teammates have been working for months and are now busy in the pre Lake Louise finish. Before the eyes of coach Roland Assinger, "Conny" has finally resumed the activity on the track: "For some weeks the tests were good, but I preferred to wait before returning to the snow - said Huetter herself - in the last eight months I always had the first laps on the track in my mind, now I'm really happy that the knee has responded so well; it is important to make the first turns without any pain, among other things accompanied by a blue sky, sun and super track ... ". For the two-time downhill skier in the Cup (the last in the Lake Louise descent on December 1, 2017, before the various stops), the program now includes training blocks with two or three days of skiing at a time, to increase the level level the plan and avoid risks. There is no forecast on the date of return, but an attempt may be made for January: perhaps not for the descent of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee on 11 January 2020, but starting with the triptych of fast weekends which, from 25-26 January in Bansko, he will then take the white circus skiers to Rosa Khutor and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
