The Slovakian champion in Val Gardena to train before the Sankt Moritz races. With a condition that grows more and more ...

He experienced a start to the season in pursuit of the best condition after a difficult summer, but also of his great rival, a Mikaela Shiffrin already on the ball who, however, had put behind in the 1st run of the Levi slalom.
Petra Vlhova is rediscovering the sensations that brought her last year to beat the dominator of the white circus in Flachau, but above all in the most important giant of the season, that of the world championships in Are. And if the world champion in the specialty is still in alternating phases, as shown by the performance between the first and second heats in last Saturday's Killington giant, in Vermont the first podium of the season arrived with the 2nd place in slalom, useful to work more serenely towards the next appointment.
Petra returned with her Italian staff from the United States and, with the meticulousness that distinguishes her and her head coach Livio Magoni, was already on the track this morning. Where is it? In the shadow of the Sassolungo, in the heart of Val Gardena that welcomed her with a splendid sunny day, which the Slovak champion appreciated ... not a little. "In the mountains, a fantastic view, fresh snow and clear sky: I love days like this," he said on social media.
We are working on a program that foresees a bit of speed for Vlhova, even if the choice is to focus on the technical races and the combined ones, which will be combined with the super-g. After skipping Lake Louise, we will head to Sankt Moritz, where a super-g will be run on December 14 and, above all, the parallel slalom the following day, a specialty in which the Slovak won once, on January 1st at Oslo, beating the usual Shiffrin in the final.
We bet they will still be playing the main loot at the end of the Corviglia?
