The Czech wants to broaden her horizons in alpine skiing: training at dawn in the Czech Republic. Coach Tomas Bank: "We will dedicate ourselves to speed ahead".

Ester Ledecka continues to train during this period, after observing two weeks of quarantine once she returned home: the bi olympic, who already last season sacrificed almost completely the season on the snowboard, put on a couple of skiing to devote himself in particular to technical disciplines. In Ester's projects, in fact, there is not only the speed where it is now a certainty, with the first downhill victory in Lake Louise repeated by the Garmisch podium and the second final place in the specialty cup, but also an important job on giant and slalom.
So far, only the PyeongChang Olympic race (with a good 23rd place) and CdM debut among the wide doors, making its debut in Soelden 2017, after participating in the World Championship in Sankt Moritz 2017; the work between the rapid gates, on the other hand, is preparatory to the Alpine combined on which Ester will aim convinced, after having surprised this year with the 3rd final place in the specialty cup, collecting 3rd place (third and last podium of the season) ) in that of Crans-Montana.
"We have the opportunity to work on disciplines usually neglected during the autumn and winter," the 25-year-old Prague technician, Tomas Bank (brother of Ondrej, ed) explained to Czech Television. And the training is very intense: wake up at 4.30 in the morning, sitting on the track from 6 to 9.30 to "take advantage of the hard snow and clearly not meet people considering the situation", added Bank referring to the work that Ledecka is doing in the ski Cervenohorske Sedlo area, on a track of just over 400 meters in length.
And yet the Czech coach analyzes the possible program from here to October, with all the unknowns of the case for the Coronavirus situation: “The next season may seem far away, but we do not even know when and if we can train on the glaciers in Austria. We realize the seriousness of the situation, but this is our job and, in compliance with the rules, we take advantage of this period. For the speed, we hope to be able to work in this direction between summer and autumn ".
