Then Karen talks about his hip troubles that have clipped the wings just as he was about to fly to the Olympus of alpine skiing and that in fact they did abandon the race from 2009: "There was no precedent in the Skiing for this injury. I had to be operated on several times and quit the sport in general and skiing in particular. Each operation and each subsequent care were the lesser evil. They are bad times but you enrich experience and make you learn more about the people you are close. When I had no more guarantees to keep doing the races, indeed, risked me even more evil, I went back to take exams at the university. At least I did not have time to think. "
