Preparation on the Val Senales glacier resumed yesterday for the women's elite group of the World Cup, with four days of work scheduled, until Saturday 31 October, and in more disciplines for Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, who are training together with Roberta Melesi and Laura Pirovano in preparation for the parallel of Lech / Zuers on 13 November.
In just over two weeks, the World Cup will restart from Vorarlberg with the two days dedicated to the only specialty event of the 2020/21 season, in the revisited FIS home calendar. Parallel that is part of the menu of the Italia house, together with some super-g sessions at the start of work on the South Tyrolean glacier. In Lech there will also be some of the blue slalomists who are also training in Val Senales, but already considering the World Cup standings, led by Marta Bassino in front of Federica Brignone, it is interesting to understand what the girls of Rulfi in the Lech appointment.
The last race held in the CdM dates back to January 19th, even if in that case in Sestriere it was a parallel giant (since this year the discipline has been standardized, no longer distinguishing between PGS and PSL); Bassino, Brignone and Goggia, in this order, did very well on the final of the “Kandahar G.A. Agnelli ", respectively with the 3rd, 4th and 5th place finish, but net of the fact that this discipline can in any case give any kind of surprise to every race, compared to 2019/2020 the formula of the ' event, with a more stringent qualification and (finally) double heat up to the final for the best 16, in order to guarantee greater fairness.
