Nicol doesn't want to stop anymore: "I work to improve further, but today I did my best"

Nicol Delago is increasingly a certainty of the blue speed and the first victory seems only a matter of time: in the descent of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, the 24-year-old Val Gardena was beaten by Corinne Suter, but he simply impressed. â€œI am very happy - admits Nicol - and I managed to concentrate without looking very much at what was happening to the others. Today I found the ideal line and in the corners I felt free, making the ski slide well. I'm working to improve further and have fun as I do now, starting again tomorrow with the combined, where it will be essential to do the super-g very well ". For Sofia Goggia a fourth place (3 cents from Michelle Gisin) which still keeps her off the podium for the third season descent ... with some regrets: "It was a strange race, between the lowered start and the interruptions - analyze Bergamo - I did mine, but I could have pushed a bit more. In combined I will try to make a nice super-g and then defend myself. " For Francesca Marsaglia fifth place that is valid as confirmation after the fantastic podium in Lake Louise: â€œThere is a hint of regret - confesses the 29 year old from San Sicario - because this is a track that I really like and I was able to do the tests so we can get to the top today. The lowered start was a shame, but I am still satisfied with the skiing that gives me even more confidence for the next appointments ". Finally Laura Pirovano, 18th and the best result ever (she was 19th in giant in Soelden, October 2017): "My final position satisfies me, it was difficult to start on the plane because I had never skied in those conditions. I can say that ... today my real career begins ".
