Altenmarkt-Zauchensee (Austria) - After almost 3 years, Zauchensee (where there is actually a nice race track) returns to host a weekend of Women's World Cup. Saturday, January 11, at 11.45, downhill, super combined Sunday, the first of the season, very important for the general classification. Altenmarkt im Pongau is an Austrian town of 3,619 inhabitants, located 60 km from Salzburg (Austria). The track is actually Zauchensee, at least for a good part of the track, then the'' arrival located near Altenmarktz. It is a track that has always loved to athletes, technical, varied, complete with jumps and stretches of scrolling.
Here the results of the descents played in the past in the neighboring locality in Flachau, the country that gave the Christmases to Hermann Maier, and home to the headquarters of the company'' Atomic. No Italian on the podium.

The blue eleven at the start (but Federica Brignone not compete Saturday only Sunday in the super combined), were trained on Tuesday in Tarvisio, on the border between Austria and Slovenia, not far from Altenmarkt, in the past hosts races of the World Cup, while finding high temperatures and soft snow, the same conditions exist at this time in Austria.
