Snow has arrived on the Stelvio Pass, in particular on Sunday with several cm fallen from the afternoon onwards, and the forecast for the next few days does not bode well either.
Conditional work for the blue national teams present, but also for another champion present on the glacier between Lombardy and South Tyrol: let's talk about Petra Vlhova, who put her skis on for 3-4 days before finding fog and then snow in the weekend. Together with his staff led by Livio Magoni, the Slovak champion will work for almost the entire month of June at the Stelvio, to then take advantage of the Italian base in Vipiteno and train in Hintertux in the autumn. And most of these workouts will be done in the company of Alice Robinson.
The collaboration with the New Zealand starlet is the novelty of Petra's 2020/21 season, thanks to the relationship established with Chris Knight to stimulate each other in training; an aspect that Magoni takes particular care (we all know the ability of the technician from Bergamo to innovate and put quality, in addition to the monstrous quantity of the proposed work), to bring Vlhova to an ever higher level. If the unknowns on the next vintage are not lacking, from the possibility to train at your best until the calendar still hanging in the balance, the one who finished third in the general classification of the 2019/2020 World Cup has already got on with the job, after having skied in the spring in Jasna and having alternated skiing with a thousand activities useful for physical and mental training, from bikes to boxing to kayaking.
If we think of the troubled summer 2019 of Petra, which had to interrupt the preparation several times and began with many difficulties last season (leaving on the plate points that will then be very heavy in the fight for the absolute cup), there is to be afraid as will be able to make the champion coming from the east ... with Italian blood now.
