We have not even reached a third of the way of the Women's World Cup (12 races out of 41), but a certain Mikaela Shiffrin has dug the furrow that could already be decisive after the first races of 2020 (slalom in Zagreb and Flachau in the first place) for what would be the fourth absolute crystal ball in the series, for the phenomenal American author of a splendid brace in Lienz.
Federica Brignone now chases at 295 points behind, but the Aosta Valley still has a small margin on Petra Vlhova, the main candidate for the podium in the overall, and above all on the other pursuers starting from Rebensburg.
In the slalom ranking, Shiffrin leads with 140 points on the same Vlhova, the only one able to worry her like last year, since Holdener has "pierced" again and in third place of specialty we find Michelle Gisin, today at the first podium of the career among the rapid gates and it too (if it will find competitiveness in speed) among the eligible candidates for the very first positions in the CdM general classification.
At the level of specialty WCSL, Irene Curtoni is in 16th place, but virtual 14th and with good margin to keep the second sub-group of merit, while today's 20 points do not vary too much the situation of Federica Brignone, still out of 30 and forced then to No. 31 in the next slalom that he will decide to play.
