With today's creepy descent, Elena Curtoni gave the national team the 90th World Cup success. Valtellina is the 21st Italian to triumph in the maximum circuit.

The wonderful blue hat-trick signed in the second descent of Bansko was the fourth in the history of the women's national team.
Everyone remembered and have in mind the enterprise of 14 January 2018 in Bad Kleinkirchheim (on a slope not very different from the Bulgarian one, far from being a coincidence), when Elena Curtoni was on the ground after the '' yet another injury and it was Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone and Nadia Fanchini who completed that podium in the Austrian descent.
Today it was the Valtellinese who took the glory in front of Bassino and Brignone, with the Aosta Valley being the only one, in the Italian triplet poker, to be present on three occasions and on ... every step of the podium. Faith in fact, in addition to today's 3rd place and 2nd place two years ago, won the giant of the Aspen finals (19 March 2017) ahead of Goggia and Bassino. The first all-blue podium came instead on March 2, 1996 in Narvik, with Deborah Compagnoni triumphing in giant over Sabina Panzanini and Isolde Kostner.
Elena Curtoni today instead became the 21st Italian in history to win a World Cup race, bringing her total success to 90; for Federica Brignone, the seventh seasonal podium means personal record, while Marta Bassino today took home the fourth top 3 in four different disciplines (giant, combined, parallel slalom and descent) in one season. Extraordinary.
