Born November 26, 1964 in Elm, a tiny village in the canton of Glarus, Verena Schneider, known by all as & ldquo; Vreni & rdquo ;, four years began for the first time on skis and in later years he actually exhibited gi & agrave; girlish his immense talent. He won three World Cups absolute in 1989, 1994 and 1995, five giant trophies in 1986, 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1995 and six slalom in 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995.
At the Calgary Olympics of 1988 had two goals d & rsquo; gold in slalom and giant just as he managed & Igrave; Alberto Tomba at that & rsquo; edition die games, then, after leaving without medals from Albertville 1992, Lillehammer in 1994 was gold in slalom to six years after the first, in the combined silver and bronze in giant. All remember her for her eternal shy smile but especially for its infinite class that made her win everywhere despite a style not just beautiful to look at, with his head sunk between his shoulders, that will be & agrave; imitated by one who just blink & agrave; his record of success in slalom, l & rsquo; Austrian Marlies Schild, that December 29, 2013 in Lienz arriver & agrave; at an altitude of 35 successes in goal narrow. Vreni currently runs a school ski and snowboard and a sports shop in his Elm, & egrave; married since 1999 and has two sons, Florian and Flavio.
