The 33-year-old Tyrolean sprinter, who obtained dual citizenship thanks to his marriage to his girlfriend Veronika, was welcomed by the top management of DSV Alpin with great confidence for a return to the top of his specialties, given the enormous experience accumulated in the Wunderteam and an age not yet so advanced.
"I am grateful for having received the green light from the federations for this change - the first words of Baumann, who lives in Kiefersfelden (in Bavaria) with the family - I am motivated to earn my position within the team, I still have a lot of passion and I'm happy to be able to start at home again with DSV â€.
German director Wolfgang Maier explains: "Romed had the desire to join our federation and we are happy to have received the ok from the FIS. He is now integrated into the speed training group, led by Andreas Evers, and will have the chance to qualify for a place in the team. We are talking about an experienced athlete, who wants to return to the top, and we will help him to achieve his goals ".
