Last night at the DNB Arena in Stavanger took place the gala evening which included the awarding of the best athletes of the year 2018.

Best man and best woman have been chosen two well-known athletes from the world of winter sports, the champion of alpine skiing Aksel Lund Svindal, winner of the Olympic gold downhill at PyeongChang 2018 and three races of the World Cup, and the most winning all-time cross-country skipper, Marit Bjoergen, who became the winter Olympic athlete plus medal-men including 15 precious metals, including two golds, a silver and two bronzes collected in South Korea last February.
Bjoergen, in addition to being named the most significant sports character of 2018, also received a special career award along with biathlete Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, as she retired at the end of last season.
