Ramon Zenhaeusern obtained, on March 10th in Kranjska Gora, his first victory in a World Cup slalom, giving a simply awesome 2nd run, which allowed the Swiss giant to take the last race before the finals with over a second margin on the two references of the specialty for years now, namely Henrik Kristoffersen and Marcel Hirscher. Already a two-time winner of the city event in Stockholm, in 2018 and 2019, the 27-year-old Swiss is now a certainty among the rapid gates, having developed a very good technique despite his stature, which instead allows him to dominate in parallel, where he could aim at the world gold in the debut of the specialty, at individual level, in Cortina 2021. Despite a fracture in the thumb of his left hand, which affected him between the Saalbach slalom and Madonna di Campiglio in December, the sympathetic Ramon experienced the best vintage of his career and literally looks higher and higher, from his 2 meters of 'tall. "I would like to start well, since Levi's slalom - he confessed to the Swiss media in the past few days - I can't wait to start, because for me every start is a unique experience". For Zenhaeusern, the real preparation will begin in August, with the trip of the Swiss team to the snow of New Zealand.
