The news of Hans Pum's farewell to the Austrian national team has left everyone quite surprised, even among the experts who have been following the events of the Wunderteam for years.
After more than 40 years within the most important federation of alpine skiing, the manager of Freistadt announced his resignation from the post of sports director, a role he will hold until July (when he turns 65), ending the his job to allow OSV to better reorganize its structure, of which Pum has always been a key man, holding various positions over the years, since 1977 when he started as a coach in the men's European Cup team. Until 1992 he was race director, then marketing director for 4 years and, from 1996 to 2010, director of alpine skiing winning virtually everything with top players such as Hermann Maier, Benni Raich, Stefan Eberharter, Michaela Dorfmeister, Renate Goetschl and Alexandra Meissnitzer. Finally, the last nine seasons as sports director.
EVERS FOR GERMAN VELOCISTS
After announcing the farewell to the Swiss-ski, where he held the role of sprinter technician, Andreas Evers returned immediately to the track and, for a technician of his caliber, there will be a really bad team available. DSV has also announced that there will be no changes in the team of technicians for the female sector, with Rebensburg and companions trained also in the next by the team led by national coach Jurgen Graller and responsible coaches Tobias Lux and Andreas Furbeck.
