A race that respected the predictions, for the last round of the World Cup before the world championship event in Cortina. For the maximum circuit, it will be discussed again at the end of February between Bansko and Val di Fassa, with a situation that, after today's super-g in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, sees Alexis Pinturault (absent today) always solid in command and now ahead of Marco Odermatt, 225 points away from the transalpine.
The Swiss, on the second consecutive podium in speed (and had already been an excellent 8th in Friday's descent), overtook Marco Schwarz as expected, in what seems to be the fight for the final second place.
At the specialty level, the super-g speaks only Austria, with Vincent Kriechmayr increasingly red bib in front of Matthias Mayer, but 101 points away when there are only two appointments (Kvitfjell and the Lenzerheide finals) at the end. In the WCSL of discipline, however, it is important to report the exit from the top ten, also considering all the absences due to injury, of Dominik Paris: the blue champion, today forced to take number 19 from last on the list of odd numbers, will end up in draw of the even numbers from 2 to 20 for Tuesday's world championship in Cortina.
And it is definitely a better prospect, as well as Christof Innerhofer who will choose eighth and therefore will have a little more room for maneuver.
