“The operation has certainly gone well and the indications given by the doctors are positive, but it is still too early to understand how exactly the recovery will proceed. In the next two weeks I will not be able to do activities, then I will start with physiotherapy and in a few months, when you get serious with athletic training, then we will understand the reactions of the muscles and the endurance to the workloads ".
On Friday and Saturday there will be your races in Kitz. At the conference you indicated your favorites (Feuz, Clarey, Kilde and Mayer), talking about them with serenity. Can you watch the races?
“Yes, because now what has happened must be put behind us, we just have to look ahead. I don't know how I will react, whether as a fan or with a bit of melancholy, but now I am quite calm and I will certainly follow the races with my colleagues on the track ".
Is the displeasure greater for having lost the chance to fight with Feuz for the descending cup, or have you thought about the absolute crystal ball?
“Honestly, I never thought about the general. It is true that in terms of points I was still there, but the calendar does not allow you to make calculations on your possibilities. Downhill instead it would have been nice to see what would have happened between Kitz and Garmisch, but what I will miss most is the fun. And the taste of skiing ... ".
The men's national team, especially in terms of speed, risks paying a heavy duty with your absence. What idea did you have about the possibilities of your colleagues?
“I believe that a stimulus can come from my injury, but beyond that we have important athletes, veterans from various injuries. Mattia Casse has the most important potential at the moment and only needs to materialize. I hope he can be the one driving all the others. "
