100% convinced of the choice made, without any remorse or desire to go back.
Thus Marcel Hirscher presented himself, for the first time since the announcement of the withdrawal that took place last September 4th, in the studios of Servus TV, in the Hangar-7 of the Salzburg airport, which represents the frame of the transmission of deepening of the Monday night, "Sport und Talk".
The Austrian champion, over three months after saying goodbye to competition, spoke very clearly tonight, as always: "I'm still convinced it was the right time to stop and now, when I watch the races, I don't feel regrets . It 'nice to see my former colleagues, analyze the technical situation on the track, the evolution of the material. Tips? I'm not the right person to give it, we're talking about professionals and everyone knows what to do to make the best ".
Hirscher has not yet returned to skiing this fall-winter: "I am out of shape and I don't miss going to the gym every day, but I dream of training again with the boys I competed with. Even if it's not the time yet â€.
There is a project on the horizon, which Marcel has already started with a supplier: "The philosophy is to build a competition ski that everyone can buy. A good ski, easy to manage for anyone. We're working on it".
Meanwhile, father Ferdinand and the historic coach, Mike Pircher, work with young Austrians, while the World Cup team of technical disciplines struggles (still dry with podiums): "We have the athletes to win again, Schwarz is back from an injury, Feller stopped due to back problems, but they know how to deal with it â€.
