Paris and Argentina goal: "It makes a big difference to be able to train there, we hope to go back"

In the interview granted to Andreas Raffeiner of skiweltcup.tv, "Domme" talked about the goals for next season, which go from ideal preparation. "A cup and an Olympic medal would be the best."

A very different approach compared to 12 months ago, when he had to recover from the pre-Kitzbuehel injury and everything was clearly delayed compared to the previous springs. Dominik Paris works hard, 5-6 hours of daily training and in less than a couple of months the return on skis to begin the preparation on the snow towards the Olympic season. The champion of blue skiing spoke to skiweltcup.tv, in the interview granted to his colleague Andreas Raffeiner, returning to what he experienced in the year of his return, which however gave him the satisfaction of returning immediately to win the World Cup, even if the 4th place in the world championship descent of Cortina is difficult to digest. "It was not easy to restart, with the injury I needed more time than I thought - explains" Domme "- Even the preparation was not as optimal as in previous years, since we were limited by the situation to train only on our glaciers. In Garmisch I managed to get back to the top, it was a great joy like 3rd place in Kitzbuehel, while the home World Championship was a bit bitter, since I made some mistakes on race day ”. Paris underlines a very important aspect for summer 2021: “I am running a very varied program, with sessions of strength, endurance, speed and coordination. I really hope we can go back to South America, training on those snows makes a big difference compared to what we can do in the Alps. The goal for next season? Hard to say now, but it would be nice to take home an Olympic cup and medal ”. Clear ideas, right?
