They are the two big favorites for the 2019/2020 crystal ball: we follow their approach to the Solden premiere.

Alexis Pinturault and Henrik Kristoffersen represent the references to inherit the role played in the last eight seasons by Marcel Hirscher, according to what has been demonstrated by the transalpine and the Norwegian over the years to pursue the Austrian cannibal.
Respectively second and third in the overall standings of the 2018/19 World Cup, the world champion of combined and that of the giant (both won the first world title at the individual level in the last show of Are) began the duel at a distance from completely opposite poles.
Pinturault has chosen, as is now customary, to ski a lot already in the summer and fly, from the first days of September, towards Argentina to carry out a full month of work on the snows of Ushuaia (return expected within the first weekend of October); the 28-year-old from Courchevel is preparing mainly between the giant and the slalom, devoting little space to the speed he will sip even in the winter season, aware that the Cup will be played on the technical disciplines.
Kristoffersen, on the other hand, in the last two years has opted for the choice that marked the summers of his (former) great rival and example, or Marcel Hirscher, with so much athletic preparation until the Ferragostan period, to then start again on European glaciers for training on skis. Henrik is based in Saas Fee, with many material tests, thinking first and foremost of the giant work, a specialty in which he grew a lot in the last year.
And the first battle between the wide doors, on October 27th in Solden, promises to be already very interesting.
