It was the best among the blue doors wide and now dreams of getting on the podium which is now within his reach. Eighth in the specialty, Roberto Nani, twenty-five of Livigno, told us his last season between satisfaction and disappointment and the excitement of the first Olympic experience.

A budget for this season
It was a positive season. The goals I set for myself, have been achieved. I wanted to get into the top 15 in the world in giant slalom. I'm very happy with how it went this season.
This year you have the best blue in this discipline, what has changed in you than in years past?
Since the summer of targeted work has been done on the problems I had last year. They then managed to get these good results. To be on the podium in front and yet you have to work on certain things, but the road is the right one. It will be only a matter of time and perseverance workout.
You went twice close to the podium, Italy is counting on you for the future. It gives you pressure?
Absolutely not. I think to do what is best for me and what is, is. I'm not thinking about what they say outside. I'm very focused on what I do and I try to bring what I can do in the race.
A race that has let you down, where would you have wanted to do more
My disappointment was early in the season with the opening of Soelden. I was expecting a lot more. I came from a good time, a good work on the glaciers during the pre-season. I was able to get a good result, but it was not so.
This year you participated for the first time at the Olympics. How was this experience?
I have lived peacefully, I was aware of what I could do, but not put too much pressure. I've been quiet, I have not created thoughts in mind before the event. It was a positive experience. I went to Sochi knowing that I could do well. I tried, it did not go as I wanted, but I have no regrets for this race because I have given the best of myself.
Your projects for this summer in preparation for next season
Surely the first task will be continuity, then the constancy of being able to bring the bottom much evidence as possible with the highest performance. I will aim a lot about this. As we have seen this year, the big difference was made in two runs. Saliva on the podium who was wrong less.
