The first meeting at the Stelvio of the Alpine Central Alps regional team ended positively. The boys led by technicians such as Alessandro Serra, Michelangelo Tentori and Sabrina Fanchini, after having made the usual tampon, went up to Livrio from 15 to 18 June for a full immersion in the snow. Despite the participation in reduced ranks due to injuries and high school exams, a basic technical work has begun with the aim of creating a common methodological line which, shared with the club coaches, will allow to optimize the preparation work. summer / autumn.
The three days of the Stelvio were attended by Jacopo Antonioli, Enrico Giacomelli, Andrea Bertoldini, Pietro Giovanni Motterlini, Alberto Claudani, Federico Romele, Alice Pazzaglia, Ginevra Gaiani, Eleonora Pizzi, Beatrice Rosca. "We are very satisfied with this first meeting - says the new head of the women's team, the former national coach, Alessandro Serra - in which we have laid the useful foundations to plan all the technical and athletic work that will lead us, with about 40 days of skiing, towards the competitive season.
Only the girls of the young team were called to this first appointment, while the other two groups, observed and observed special, will be called to the next rallies, the first perhaps already in mid-July, while for the special observed the convocations will start from September . We wanted the creation of the special observed and observed groups to give a further chance to those athletes of value who, due to injury or other reasons, have not been able to get on the train of the national teams. This applies both to the young category and to those who are perhaps in their first senior year ".
In harmony with Serra, also the head of the men's sector Michelangelo Tentori who, together with Sabrina Fanchini, assistant coach and head of the Children sector, represents the continuity with last season when Simone Stiletto and Maurilio Alessi were coaching the committee. “The premises are good - explains Tentori - already from these first days we have established a good feeling with the guys and a good group has also been created between them.
Unfortunately, some logistical problems prevented us from holding a meeting with all the club coaches to set up a common path, but we have seen that the clubs are willing to listen to us and a constructive dialogue has been established. In these days we have done a lot of descents, essentially to evaluate the technical abilities of the boys, working in the afternoon on the athletic aspect. The next meeting will be in July in which we will try to bring the three working groups, while at the end of August we will concentrate on the observed ”.
