Towards the composition of the 2020/21 teams: the return of Nani and the highly anticipated young Franzoni and Canins

Our assumptions about men's groups for the next competitive season: also Talacci for the speed team B.

With the early closing of the season, without the possibility of competing in Italian championships and FIS races, as well as of course the grand finale of the World Cup and European Cup that would be staged during this first spring weekend, you can start to hypothesize the composition of the FISI teams in view of the 2020/21 season. With the total block of the activity, also in via Piranesi it will wait a few weeks for the definition of the workforce, but let's analyze the situation starting from the male sector, which should not record big changes. Starting from the technical staff, with Alberto Ghidoni at the head of speed and Roberto Lorenzi dt of the technical specialties, which see Saracco guide the gigantists and Theolier the slalom sector, which this year has found the podium after three years of fasting (and the the French technician's project is aimed at Cortina 2021 and Beijing 2022). Dominik Paris and Christof Innerhofer formed the elite group created last year, but in fact the two top Italian downhill skiers will work with the World Cup speed group, the A / A2, in the company of Buzzi, Casse, Marsaglia and Prast, with the latter (who conquered the permanent place in super-g thanks to the 2nd place in the European Cup) which will actually replace the retired Peter Fill. The speed group B should be composed of Guglielmo Bosca, Battilani, Cazzaniga, Molteni, Simoni, Schieder, Paini, Cason and Talacci, the latter being the silver medalist at the downhill and promotion jr. Technical specialties: groups A / A2 with De Aliprandini, Gross, Moelgg, Razzoli, Tonetti, Borsotti, Liberatore, Maurberger, Sala, Vinatzer, Hannes Zingerle and the return to the national team of Roberto Nani, who has taken a permanent place in giant ( 2nd in the European Cup) which Andrea Ballerin won last year, again in the balance. The slalom and giant group B should see Kastlunger, Canzio, Gori, Vaccari and the novelties Franzoni and Canins as protagonists, young people in great growth in the last year and possible substitutes for Moling and Zuccarini. What about team C? Allegrini, Bendotti, Della Vite, Franzoso, Pizio, Ploner, Saccardi and Rizzi. The last two would replace the same Franzoni and Canins destined for B.
