Today in the only training dominated by Austrians and Canadians, on Friday and Saturday the last two fast races of the season. The Brescia player, sixth overall, today finished far away like all the Azzurri.

The European Cup approaches its conclusion, with the finals of the continental circuit divided between Saalbach-Hinterglemm for the fast races and Reiteralm for the technical ones.
Today the official start with the first and only test of the men's downhill that will be staged on Friday (followed on Saturday by the super-g, then from Monday it will be the women's turn); on the Zwoelferkogel, the track that hosted the World Cup races last week, Canadians and Austrians led the training, in the first seven places of a ranking led by Jeffrey Read (but with a goal jump) in front of Ploier and Babinsky, paired in 2nd place at 32 cents with Crawford, Rieser, Walder and Seger to follow, but with the prediction very open to the Swiss squadron, the American Arvidsson and the Norwegian Henrik Roea himself, already an excellent protagonist in the CdM.
The Azzurri, and there are eight who will compete tomorrow, are quite far with Molteni 31st at 2 "43 from Read, Paini at 2" 71, Franzoso at 2 "91, Knollseisen at 3" 52, Zazzi at 4 "14 and beyond the 5 seconds Cason and Abbruzzese. In the overall, with four races from the end Franzoni is sixth at 125 points from the duo in third place formed by Raschner (slalomgigantista) and Weber (sprinter), in a ranking commanded by Austria with Maximilian Lahnsteiner (second also in descent, only 15 points from the French Schuller who will not be able to compete in the finals after the serious injury remedied in Saalbach in the CdM) in front of Raphael Haaser, the latter 4th in the World Cup super-g staged last Sunday on the Zwoelferkogel.
