The youth festival, originally scheduled in Pila from 11 to 13 December, stopped by Covid. President Raffaelli: "Everyone wants to compete".

The eleventh edition of the Fosson Memorial will not take place - as planned - from 11 to 13 December 2020 on the snow of Pila, but it has not been canceled. The alpine skiing event, reserved for the Boys and Students categories, looks for a new date that will be communicated by 8 December, after analyzing the next Dpcm and having received some more guarantees on the opening period of the ski area.
To date, there are still too many uncertainties that do not allow to continue the preparation in view of the scheduled competition period. Memorial Fosson is a complex event to organize that requires the management of about 600 athletes and 150 technicians. Massimo Raffaelli, president of the organizing committee, explained the decision taken as follows: “We are aware of the current health situation and we are working with the Region and Pila Spa so that this event can be held in full compliance with the anti-contagion rules.
In Italy the competitions of national and international interest have started some time ago and continue also in these days in the places open and reserved for athletes of national interest. But now there are too many uncertainties, even with regard to snow. Better to take some time and find a valid alternative; everyone wants to compete ”.
