The formula does not change, with four challenges for each comparison between national teams, two for women and two for men (but the members of each team are at most 6, with two reserves), and the greatest number of successes to move on next, with the calculation of the times in case of 2-2. It will begin at 12.15 with the round of 16 and 15 competing nations: there was in fact the resignation of France, already announced yesterday by the great boss Fabien Saguez, therefore Switzerland (seeded n ° 1) will start directly from the quarter-finals, but it is not necessarily the favorite team, considering that there will not be Zenhaeusern, Meillard and Yule among the men, but Bissig, Nef and Simonet, together with Holdener, Rast and Jasmina Suter.
It will in fact be a parallel slalom, with a completely different layout than the one seen today, and Italy that will try to defend the bronze medal won two years ago in Are; the Azzurri, seeded No. 3, will debut in the round of 16 against Finland, not to be underestimated since Torsti did very well today and the two women, Pykalainen and Honkanen, also competed in the individual test (albeit only on the "Cinque Torri ”, Having been eliminated in the qualifiers).
National team that will again propose De Aliprandini, Tonetti and Borsotti, also protagonists of the individual competition, and the trio Della Mea-Pirovano-Nadia Dellago at the women's level. In the same part of the scoreboard, the round of 16 between Slovenia-Sweden and Austria-Belgium, with Wunderteam certainly among the national teams of reference with the new world champion Liensberger, Brunner and Mair on one side, but also Gstrein, Pertl and Leitinger representing a trio of great quality for men.
