Andre Myhrer: "In St. Moritz to beat Hirscher and Kristoffensen"

Swedish 33, 6 victories in the World Cup in slalom, first in the ranking of specialty & agrave; in 2012, bronze at the Olympics in Vancouver 2012 & egrave; ready for its seventeenth season in the World Cup. & Nbsp;

May 2014 Swedish slalom skier, somewhat unexpectedly, after 14 years leaves Nordica to arrive at Head, a company which until then excelled in the production of the skis for speed disciplines and bounds. & Nbsp; The 2014/15 season opens with the & rsquo; incognita how Andre would be adapted to the new skis and boots: the results are not encouraging, best result only 5 & deg; place in the slalom of Meribel finals. Start of last season & egrave; very difficult, the Swede misses a lot and get a meager 7 & deg; place in Wengen best result; many lose confidence in him, c & rsquo; & egrave; speaker athlete finished ready for collection. January ends with a forked in the second heats of Schladming and 22 place in the provisional standings of specialty & agrave ;. February 2016, Andre finds himself: 2 & deg; in slalom in Yuzawa and 2 & deg; Parallel to Stockholm in March the regaler & agrave; & nbsp; the victory in slalom in St Moritz closing fourth in specialty & agrave; Here l & rsquo; interviewing colleagues fis-ski.com Andre, you closed the season with a victory and two podiums. How it feels to return to the top after a few years a bit & rsquo; undertone? & Ldquo; I am very happy with fourth place in the slalom standings. It & rsquo; It was one of my best seasons. Whereas before the stage in Japan (met & agrave; February, author's note) I was 22 & deg; Ranked I can only be proud of what I did. But I point at the top and next year I want to turn this fourth place into something more & ugrave;. & Rdquo; Yet the starting & egrave; It was bad even with three outputs on three in the first slalom of the season. Why? & Ldquo; All & rsquo; beginning turned everything wrong and I do not know why & eacute ;. To memorize options together with the coaches and my ski man we did not give up a centimeter continuing to fight and at the end we finally managed to find the right setup. Then from Japan on everything & egrave; He went according to plan. & rdquo; & nbsp; You are a specialist on parallel races and prove it in second place in Stockholm and the third in Alta Badia. What & rsquo; & egrave; the secret to go fast in this discipline? & Ldquo; From an early age I skied a lot of parallel races. I know I'm strong on skis slalom, to memorize options the podium in Alta Badia with those giant & egrave; It was a big surprise. Ski side by side against an opponent you d & agrave; a & rsquo; incredible adrenaline rush and at the same time you have to be extremely focused because & eacute; you can not afford the slightest mistake. You have to be very aggressive and try to cut the maximum curves to find how much more & ugrave; speed & agrave ;. And in this I am very good. Well, perhaps & egrave; This is the secret. & rdquo; Team Event will become & agrave; Olympic discipline from Pyeongchang 2018. Many do not like this format. What & rsquo; & egrave; your thoughts about it? & Ldquo; I adore the Team Event. I think it is a & rsquo; excellent integration for all other disciplines and I am sure that this kind of races can not do anything but good for our sport. To stage these events in large cities & agrave; as in Stockholm l & rsquo; last year means approaching alpine skiing to people and involve more and more & ugrave; people. Maybe for me it trasformerei in a discipline itself, with 4/6 races in the season, and with the crystal globe for grabs. At least cos & igrave; we would not have most & ugrave; those discussions whether to assign the points of the parallel slalom or giant. & rdquo; Objectives for the World Championships in St. Moritz next February? On that track you have triumphed in & rsquo; last slalom of the season & hellip; & nbsp; & Ldquo; I gi & agrave; an Olympic medal (in Vancouver in 2010, author's note), but I miss the rainbow. It would be a dream to repeat the race of the finals. It is a track that suits my characteristics. I raced there in 2003 by participating in my first World Cup, perci memorize options that slope I & egrave; new. Far memorize options everything to return home with a medal around his neck. & rdquo; How is the summer training? & Ldquo; Since you have recently become pap & agrave; for the second time, I spent much time with my family. It & rsquo; nice to disconnect a moment and recharge your batteries after a busy winter. Currently I'm training at home alone just to stay as long as pi & ugrave; close to my loved ones. Still in a bit & rsquo; andr memorize options in Zermatt with the team and the & igrave; onwards will live memorize options l & rsquo; winter every day. & rdquo; Quant & rsquo; & egrave; hard to find the right balance between career and family? & Ldquo; It & rsquo; important not to dwell too n & eacute; on & rsquo; one n & eacute; on & rsquo; another aspect. Although inevitably in recent years the & rsquo; attention & egrave; moved a bit & rsquo; pi & ugrave; to the family, but in a good way. & rdquo; Andre Myhrer has regained his skiing powerful and particularly high performance on the plans, Marcel Hirscher and Henrik Kristofferson will fear it very easy on the trail of St Moritz slalom.
