But there is another important thing to always keep in mind, that is the ability to work in a team: sport is always a team activity, even when the race is individual and this is also an important aspect for the team. our profession as soldiers. You athletes, together with the technical and logistical staff that support you, are an example for all of us, because you make us understand how things have to work. Good luck for future challenges ". The last competitive season was marked by 7 World Championships in 7 different winter disciplines. The final balance of the successes achieved by the athletes of the Army was extraordinary, with 23 medals at world level: 14 in the absolute categories (of which 6 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze), 9 in the youth categories (of which 5 gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes) and 2 absolute World Cups. In addition, 5 specialty cups, 58 podiums in the World Cup, 11 podiums in the European Cup and more than 10 absolute Italian titles in all disciplines of winter sports. As Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Farcoz, Commander of the Army Sports Center, reiterated, "behind the results that we celebrate today lies individual and team work, which starts from afar, carried out with sacrifice, passion, loyalty and noble humility, characterized by care of the smallest details and in the attention to the personality of each athlete ". The parallel world champion and winner of the giant cup, Marta Bassino, as well as the aces of the blue snowboard, Michela Moioli twice silver at the Snowboard Cross World Championships (and 2nd also in the final ranking of CdM) were present in Rome, Lorenzo Sommariva who won the world championship medal in the pairs trial together with the rider from Bergamo, and Aaron March who took home the absolute crystal ball in alpine snowboarding. And then again ski mountaineering represented by Matteo Eydallin, Robert Antonioli, Michele Boscacci, Alba De Silvestro, Davide Magnini, Nadir Maguet and Giulia Murada.
