The president of FISI spoke to "Politics in the ball" on Gr Parlamento. "We are evaluating the situation with the FIS and the Cortina organization".

We had written on Monday about the possibility that the Italian proposal to move the world championships in Cortina to the 2021/22 season would be withdrawn, before the vote to the FIS council that will decide on the matter.
It becomes more and more likely that we will go towards the confirmation of the original dates, from 8 to 21 February 2021, as suggested by the federal number 1, Flavio Roda, who intervened in the Rai program "Politics in the ball", inside by Gr Parlamento. "We are reviewing together with the FIS and the organizing committee of Cortina what could be the best option, without neglecting the return to 2021 - explained Roda - We would not want to suffer what happened this year with the cancellation of the World Cup finals in Cortina for health problems, but it is clear that there are problems related to 2022 with the Olympics in February ".
Decisive hours, after the FISI itself had to manage a difficult situation, such as that of the three cases of positivity that emerged within the National team, in the last days of the meeting at the Stelvio. Roda explained that "the infection occurred outside the Stelvio and this is the important thing. The protocol we adopted worked, with the positive subjects in isolation following the protocol to the letter.
None of the top athletes has been involved: there are the cases of two technicians, namely a trainer and a skiman, and a young girl who has been slightly affected ”.
