Also for the women's sector, the grand finale of this crazy block of races will be staged from 19 to 21 December on the splendid "La VolatA" slope in Passo San Pellegrino, capable of hosting the recoveries of the last World Cup with great success. month of February. And there is an important novelty regarding this speed triptych in Val di Fassa: the FIS has also granted the organization the recovery of the super-g jumped at Kvitfjell, so there will be two descents (anticipated by one day, Sunday 19th and Monday 20th, with double test on Saturday 18th) before the third round on Tuesday 21st, which will also feature some athletes returning from the World Cup weekend in Val d''Isère. The transalpine phenomenon will face the race as an ideal test towards the 3Tre on 22 December, the same goal as Dave Ryding, who appears in the starting list of the slalom on the Aloch, where the British won in 2013. To lead the Italian patrol, instead , will be the home favorite Stefano Gross, who will try to repeat the splendid test of December 2017, when he rejoiced in front of his audience. Local fans will also have an eye on the other Federico Liberatore from Fassa, as well as for the rediscovered Tommaso Sala, 12th in Val d''Isere and already super in the past on Aloch, where he won in 2019. Two European Cup slaloms were held in Pozza last year and both were French-made. Having said of Noel's victory, in the other race his compatriot Theo Letitre crossed the finish line first: he too will return to Val di Fassa this week, but among the other expected protagonists there will also be the Belgian Armand Marchant (seventh Sunday in Val d''Isere), the Croatian Matej Vidovic (19th yesterday and winner of four career European Cup slaloms), the Russian Alexander Khoroshilov, Switzerland with Marc Rochat and Reto Schmidiger, without forgetting the Spanish Joaquim Salarich, the Bulgarian Albert Popov , the Norwegian, Austrian and German patrols.
