The "Falcade Start Section" by Neveplast, a ramp for skiers and snowboarders, has been inaugurated

In the resort of the San Pellegrino Ski Area, a very useful novelty for athletes who can train their departures in a muldisciplinary center for summer work.

Falcade opened the summer season with a big news to offer to its ski clubs and to the athletes of the Ski College Veneto. In fact, in the resort of the San Pellegrino Ski Area, a ski slope called "Falcade Start Section" was born, or a ramp that allows you to train the starts even without snow, thanks to the synthetic material branded Neveplast, a leading company in the sector that, lately , also saw the birth of a facility in Selvino, tested by a certain Michela Moioli, Olympic snowboard snowboarder. On this second Sunday in July, there was a special test by the girls of "Donnavventura Italy", a program that stopped in Falcade during the recording of the broadcast aired on Rete 4. In Molino, in the final phase of the return track Le Buse-Molino, a multidisciplinary center is therefore operating throughout the summer, designed as an alternative to working on the glacier. The Neveplast project foresees two departures designed for skiers, one steeper (54%) and the other less (40%), but the carnet is completed by a pump track with whoops for snowboard cross and ski cross specialists. The track is spread over a size of about 500 square meters; to detect the speed at the start, some timekeeping systems were set up immediately after the gate and at the end of the descent. In addition to the children of the Veneto Ski College, the center is also open to all ski clubs in Italy (primarily the Val Biois Ski Club) who can organize summer competitive retreats in Falcade, skis on their feet. The management of reservations for track training has been assigned to the San Pellegrino Ski Area and for summer 2020, the use is completely free. Among the World Cup athletes who use the Neveplast Start Section format, the name of Carlo Janka, winner of the 2010 World Cup and Olympic champion, shines. The Neveplast concept dedicated to departures has a competitive twist, but wants to be for Falcade also an authentic flywheel to promote the area and an excellent stage for events; Molino's Neveplast Start Section project was born from an idea by Davide Pettini, member of the CDA of the Ski College Veneto who, faced with the restrictions imposed by the emergency from COVID-19, thought of an alternative to snow for ensure the skiing training of the College athletes. A courageous choice shared with the Municipality of Falcade which, in an unprecedented situation in the face of the post-pandemic crisis, responded by following the path of innovation, starting from the sporting declination and the authenticity of the territory; an ambitious project which was also carried out thanks to a partnership with the San Pellegrino Ski Area and the precious contribution of DMO Dolomiti, which has always been at the forefront in identifying worthy projects for the tourism promotion of the Belluno Dolomites. “In an unprecedented scenario of generalized crisis following the pandemic, concrete proposals were needed - the words of the mayor of Falcade, Michele Costa - There are no foolproof recipes, but it is in times of difficulty that any opportunities are seized. We started from our roots and from the great tradition for skiing and winter sports that has always affected the Valle del Biois and one of the excellence of Falcade is the Ski College Veneto, a breeding ground for champions and an important reference reality in Italy for children who they dream of professionalism in winter sports, but they don't want to sacrifice school. The Neveplast project, studied to improve the starting phase of the athletes, immediately seemed to us an excellent tool to facilitate the training of our athletes and a potential flywheel for the summer tourist offer of our valley ". Luca Marchetto. President of the Ski College Veneto-Falcade, he said he was "very happy that the Falcade Start Section project has been completed. In alpine skiing, especially in fast disciplines, the initial phase of the race that goes from the exit from the gate to the thrust of the first meters has a crucial importance for the final result. Very often it is difficult for our kids to find the mode and above all the time to train the start. The Neveplast format for training departures in Molino is sewn on for our student-athletes and gives them the opportunity to alternate glacier training with training at home without leaving the venue ".
