No medals for Alpine skiing Italy arrive on the first day of the Youth Winter Olympic Games in Lausanne. On the snows of Les Diablerets, the YOG of the Italian national team, however, start with the good performance of Alice Calaba, fighting for the medals area before finishing in sixth place in the morning women's super-g.
For the Aosta Valley, posting of only 48 cents from the winner, the Swiss Amelie Klopfenstein, who burned the French Caitlin McFarlane by only 8 cents and the Israeli Noa Szollos by 9. Good performance also for Sophie Mathiou, 12th to just over a second, while Annette Belfrond finished 23rd.
Among the boys, the best blue in the super-g was instead Marco Abbruzzese, 14th at 96 cents from the Swedish Adam Hofstedt, gold medal in front of the Slovenian Rok Aznoh, beaten by only 6 cents, with bronze for the Swiss Luc Roduit , detached by 2 tenths. Fifteenth place instead for Gian Maria Illariuzzi (at 1 â€05), with Edoardo Saracco out of the first 30 positions, at 2†30 behind.
