Slovenia is revealed ahead of the season leading up to the Beijing Olympics. The national teams will be ratified by the alpine skiing committee on 19 May, but today the staff have already been indicated in Ljubljana with the great news, as already announced in the morning, of the inclusion of Livio Magoni in the technical cadres of the women's team for the technical disciplines, with the Bergamasco as a reference for Meta Hrovat.
The quartet, also composed of Andreja Slokar, Ana Bucik and Tina Robnik, will always have Sergej Poljsak as manager, while for the fast disciplines there is only Ilka Stuhec to represent the national team, always working individually with the Swiss Stefan Abplanalp to follow her (as has happened since summer 2019).
Group 2 of the World Cup, on the other hand, counts on Marusa Ferk and Neja Dvornik. The main formation of the men's team will still be composed of only Zan Kranjec, looking for redemption after a very difficult and unfortunate last season (the disappearance of his father and then the back problems), and Stefan Hadalin, followed by the coach responsible Klemen Bergant, with a quintet dedicated instead to speed.
Here we find Martin Cater, surprise winner of the opening descent of the 2020/21 season in Val d''Isère, Bostjan Kline, Klemen Kosi, Miha Hrobat and Nejc Naralocnik.
OLYMPIC SWEDEN
They took advantage of a three-day camp in Oestersund, to organize the entire sports structure in view of the 2021/22 season, to ratify some Olympic passes for alpine skiing and skicross athletes. We are talking about Sweden which today announced three names (and they are the first) already certain to travel to Beijing 2022, in search of their first Olympic medals: Anna Swenn-Larsson, highly anticipated to return to the World Cup after Covid and injury, Sara In fact, Hector and Kristoffer Jakobsen have already received from the federation the pass for the next Olympic Games, in which they will also be the beacon of the parallel team that will definitely aim for the podium, fresh from the world silver in Cortina ( without Swenn-Larsson, of course).
Four key elements of the national ski cross team have also been called up: Sandra Naeslund, Viktor Andersson and the brothers Erik and David Mobaerg.
