The memory of the Aosta Valley Ski Instructors Association: the funeral of a true symbol will be held on Monday afternoon.

Flavio Collomb passed away on Saturday 16 May at the age of 81 and leaving a great void in the community of La Thuile.
Collomb was in fact one of the founding members of the Rutor ski school in the summer of 1967, as the Valle d'Aosta Ski Instructors' Association reminds us that mourns its disappearance; he only started skiing after the age of twenty, as he had previously worked simply as a groomer between Courmayeur and Val d''Isère.
Then the master course and the exams to become professional, teaching for over 50 years at the ski school of La Thuile, every day in the structure that he built with his hands together with many other teachers in the area. Beppe Cuc, AVMS president, and the ski school director of La Thuile, Ferruccio Baudin, remember him thus: “A historical figure for the whole Association and in particular for the community of La Thuile. The ski instructors of the Aosta Valley huddle around the family in this moment of great pain ".
