Here are the new dates of the Aosta Valley event dedicated to the youngest. Massimo Raffaelli: "We are waiting for the FISI authorization".

The new dates for the Fosson Memorial have been identified. The international Alpine skiing Children event, originally scheduled in Pila this weekend (11-13 December), has been postponed to 12, 13 and 14 January 2021, amidst the difficulties linked to the Covid restrictions and also to the problems of snowmaking.
However, the change will have to be confirmed and approved by the Italian Winter Sports Federation, which yesterday received a request for postponement and the inclusion of the event within the national Children calendar from the Aosta Valley Committee. Before reaching this decision, the organizing committee had tried to keep Memorial Fosson in December, looking for a date just before Christmas. After some evaluations, the Aosta ski club - in agreement with the Asiva Committee and Pila Spa - has preferred to move the international event to the new year, when the ski lifts will be operational again for everyone.
The Fosson Memorial wants to be the restart event for the Boys and Students categories and, at a time when various uncertainties remain, the parties involved have considered it appropriate not to speed up the times, taking the time necessary to welcome in the best way, and in full compliance with the protocols, the approximately 600 registered athletes who in recent weeks have not been able to carry out an optimal preparation. Massimo Raffaelli, Aosta ski club president, explained the decision as follows: “Those were difficult days in which the scenarios were constantly changing. Together with Asiva and Pila Spa we have found an optimal solution on paper. Now we await the authorization of the FISI, which will draw up the new national calendar taking into consideration the latest Dpcm.
With this move we hope not to hinder the activities and calendars of the various regional committees. We want to do this event, after a summer and autumn season on the glaciers, they all want to compete ".
