Petra Vlhova and Marco Schwarz are the winners of the parallel slalom of the City Events in Oslo.

The Slovak beat in the final of 39 cents the US Mikaela Shiffrin having finally right of her in a seasonal race valid for the slalom cup, in the previous had always had to bow to the Colorado Martian. For Petra it is the sixth success in the World Cup, the first in the format, the second Slovak to succeed after Veronika Zuzulova who won in Monaco on New Year's Day 2013. On the bottom step of the podium finishes the Swiss Wendy Holdener who has the best in small final for two tenths on the Swedish Anna Swenn-Larsson. A single blue, including men's race, was on track, namely Irene Curtoni, who in the first round beat just one of the most fit athletes of the moment, the Austrian Katharina Liensberger, then had to surrender to Vlhova in the quarters of the final.
In a men's race as usual full of twists first victory in the World Cup for the Austrian Marco Schwarz who denied the story to the British Dave Ryding, beaten in the finals and that went hunting for the first ever win for Britain in the Cup, but if Vlhova has debunked the seasonal taboo Shiffrin the historic United Kingdom remains standing because it boasts three squares of honor in the men's field, two with Ryding, and a second and two third places in the women's field. For Schwarz instead, as well as the first victory, is the fourth podium, while for the Swiss Ramon Zenhaeusern, incredibly in the race a week from the operation to the thumb, is the third: he beat in fact finalized one of the favorites, the Swedish Andre Myhrer. The Austrian Marcel Hirscher, beaten by Ryding, ended up in the quarter-finals, and in the first round, as it happens almost always in this format, the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, who had to bow to the Swedish Matthias Hargin who, however, immediately later, he gave in to Schwarz.
