In recent days, Val d''Isère and Courchevel (where nine races are scheduled according to the provisional calendar) hosted the FIS delegates to implement the World Cup plan.

It will be a record month of December, if all goes well, on the French snow that will represent the heart of the 2020/21 World Cup at that time, just before the white circus moves to Italy for the men's circuit.
As reported by "Ski Chrono", last week the various inspections were carried out by the FIS delegates between Val d''Isère and Courchevel, even more important to establish all the anti Covid protocols in view of the nine races scheduled in the two locations of the '' Upper Savoy. Yes, because with the cancellation of the North American races and the calculated rescheduling, even if everything will become official only in early October and there will be other important changes, the first three weekends of December will always see France as the protagonist.
On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th, the men will start on Face de Bellevarde, in Val d''Isère, with a double giant to recover the one canceled at Beaver Creek, and then move on to Oreiller-Killy in view of the descent and the super-g ( 12-13 December) on the historic track of the Criterium de la Premiere Neige, while that weekend women should compete in two giants in Courchevel. In Val d''Isère, the girls will arrive the following week, with two descents and a super-g on the "O.K." from 18 to 20 December.
Presence of the public? It is being evaluated, but considering the current period that France is experiencing in terms of pandemic, it seems quite complicated to be able to guarantee even a limited opening: in this sense, on Thursday 10 September there will be an important meeting between the Prefecture of Savoy and the parties involved, namely the French federation and the three organizers of the area, including Val Thorens for the ski cross opening.
On Friday, however, Peter Gerdol and his men also visited Crans-Montana, to work on the race conditions of the classic on Mont Lachaux dedicated to the women's circuit: originally a downhill and a combined should be held on 23-24 January 2021, but it will almost certainly go towards a trio of fast trials.
