Another extraordinary feat, for the man of reference of the Italian grass-skiing movement.

Edoardo Frau opened the Marbachegg world championship with a bang, giving the national team an amazing gold medal in the super-combined show on the Swiss track.
The 38-year-old from Asiago, six times winner of the World Cup (this year he sails to 2nd place after the first seasonal tests), he beat everyone between super-g and slalom, after a very tight race. Frau, in fact, had concluded the speed test with the fastest time, but only 4 cents of margin on the Swiss Senn, then collapsed between the rapid gates, and 5 on the Austrian Posch, at the end silver medal and only 12 cents after the slalom.
Bronze for another red-and-white athlete, Hannes Angerer who finished at 34 cents from the Veneto, while he sought a great comeback in his specialty Lorenzo Gritti, second blue in the race at the level of placement considering that the 6th place, at 79 cents from his partner team, arrived thanks to the best time in the 2nd round, just 2 cents in front of the same Frau. In the top ten also Pietro Guerini, at the end of 9th, then from the 13th to the 15th place Filippo Zamboni, Nicholas Anziutti and Daniele Buio, with Nicolò Schiavetti 18th and Alberto Bleynat 22nd completing the list of the blue bishops at finish line.
Instead it was a Japanese domination in the female super-combined, with the gold won by Chisaki Maeda in front of the mistress of the World Cup season, the Austrian Jacqueline Gerlach separated by 57 cents and the only one to join the Japanese, which Marino Maeda was placed in 3rd place, 2 "38 from his compatriot.
The blue ones? The veteran Antonella Manzoni was the best, with a 5th place recovered after the 7th in the super-g in the morning. Good eighth place for Federica Milesi, able to go up six positions in the slalom, but the real pity concerns Margherita Mazzoncini, since the 22 year old Venetian was in command of the super-g, but was disqualified.
Thursday the second day of the World Cup, dedicated to the two giants.
