The first meeting of the national roller ski team, carried out between Anterselva and Dobbiaco, has ended. The manager in charge Emanuele Sbabo outlines the balance of an already very important first training phase, a few weeks before the races. “This first meeting was very positive, we did a lot of intensity almost every day - the analysis of the Azzurri coach - After a first moment of setting the boys made up a group and it seems to me even more cohesive than in previous years.
We tried a little bit of all the race formats, from the sprint, to the sprint team on the circuit in Dobbiaco, to the Mass Start uphill in technique. I see the girls and boys very motivated, so it bodes well for the season we are about to start. The weather has been mild and apart from a rainy day with low temperatures, then there has always been excellent weather with good temperatures.
We did the last 3-hour workout on the cycle path, the boys were tired but happy to have developed almost 20 hours of training. We are looking forward to the first races to get an idea of the conditions of our boys as well ”.
