From 6 to 9 September the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center in Forni Avoltri will host the best Italian athletes of cross-country skiing, biathlon and skiroll during the weekend of races of the Alpe Adria Summer Nordic Festival 2018, manifestation of caliber International valid for the Italian Summer Championships of cross country and biathlon.

The event organized by the ASD Monte Coglians and the Ski CAI Trieste will bring in Carnia many champions, among which the Olympic medalists stand out Federico Pellegrino, Dominik Windisch, Lukas Hofer, Dorothea Wierer as well as the Sapperina Lisa Vittozzi athlete grew up competitive in the Piani di Luzza plant.
The event that enjoys the full support of Promoturismo FVG was strongly desired by the Technical Directors Marco Selle (fund), Fabrizio Curtaz (biathlon) and Michel Rainer (skiroll) who have identified in Carnia Arena the ideal place to unite in a single weekend the cross-country Italian summer championships / skiroll and biathlon. The Friulian Federal Center, renown for its many kilometers of paved tracks and for its technical characteristics, will therefore pave the way for this new initiative that will represent an absolute novelty in the Italian calendar of winter sports accustomed over the years to assign national titles in different locations .
The rich weekend program of the Alpe Adria Summer Nordic Festival will open on Thursday 6 September with the official training sessions of the biathlon teams, while on Friday September 7th the first national biathlon titles will be awarded with the awarding of the tri-color medals in the Mass Start senior, Under21 and Under19 and in the individual test reserved for the Under17 category. In the late afternoon, however, the cross-country skiers and skirollisti will be able to become familiar with the asphalt of Carnia Arena with the official training sessions.
The real highlight of the entire event is undoubted Saturday, September 8th. On this day, the fans can attend a real "marathon" of races that will start early in the morning and end in the afternoon. In the morning the biathletes involved in the sprint race will return to the track again, while starting at 2.00 pm the cross-country skiers and roller-skaters will compete in a distance race starting at intervals.
The event will end on Sunday 9 September with the expected sprint races reserved for cross-country skiing. These competitions like those distance apart to assign the Italian titles will have FIS value and will guarantee the first seasonal points in the Italian Cup circuit Sportful and Coppa Italia Giovani Rode cross-country skiing.
In addition to the competitive aspect, the organizers have also thought about some side activities. Only on Saturday, September 8 will be set up at the entrance of the stadium a real sponsor village that will see the participation of companies in the sector, sponsors of the event but also some fans club. The media coverage will be ensured by Neveitalia Media official partner of the event that since June 2017 guarantees the webcam service at the Federal Center Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center.
