Blue skiroll: in Cortina the first pearl of Masiero in front of Tanel, Paola Beri stands out among women

Italian Cup Cascina Bianca on the Dolomites: the results (also of the youth competitions) of the 14th stage, after which Tanel and Borettaz remain leaders.

A cool sunny autumn day accompanied the mass start in free technique valid as the 14th round of the Cascina Bianca Italian Cup of roller skis. Races that initially should have started from the center of Cortina, but due to the lack of asphalting of a stretch of road, the jury and the Cortina Ski club, organizer of the event, decided to shorten it by 5 kilometers and start it from Fiames. It was thus a very tight and selective competition in all categories: at the absolute level among men, Riccardo Masiero (Ski club Valdobbiadene) won, at his first center in the major category, who burned Matteo Tanel (Robinson Ski Team) and Michael Galassi (Sc Orsago), with Luca Curti (Sc Orsago) fourth ahead of Jacopo Giardina. The best youngster was Giovanni Lorenzetti, who stood out this summer on more than one occasion with the colors of the national team. In the absolute female the veteran Paola Beri (Nordik Ski) finished in a time of 29''28 ”2 and preceded by 20 seconds Laura Mortagna (GS Fiamme Oro) from Belluno and Anna Maria Ghiddi (Cross Country Skiing) from Emilia Pavullo), fourth Elisa Rossato (Us Carisolo) and fifth the Friulian Aurora Morassi (Timau Cleulis). Among the Under 16s the victory went to the men to Edoardo Trombetta (Ski Groups) who won in front of Davide Piccinini (Sc Levico) and Alvise Antonelli (Sc Cortina), the female Maria Invernizzi (Nordik Ski) preceded Letizia Papa (Sci Nordico Bismantova) and Vanessa Dallago (Sc Cortina). Among the U14 boys, the home athlete Giorgio Piccoliori (Sc Cortina) preceded Alessandro Tazzioli (Olimpci Lama) and Jarno Alverà (Sc Cortina). Another success for women for Aurora Invernizzi (Nordic Ski) who with the victories of her sister Maria and her mother Paola (Beri) completes the success of the Valsassina family: second Marianna Barbieri (Olimpic Lama) and third Karin Dariz (Sc Cortina). Nicole Falanelli (Olimpic Lama) and Marco Combi (Primaluna) win among the Under 12s, while in the Under 10s it is the turn of Mattia Combi (Primaluna) and Vanessa Dadiè (Sc Cortina). Matteo Tanel consolidates his leadership in the overall standings of the Italian Cup, the female Sabrina Borettaz (Amis de Verrayes) is always in command, but Elisa Rossato in the Cortinese stage has obtained precious points that bring her to just 33 points. Appointment next weekend with the Italian Sprint Championships, Saturday in Trento, where the challenges between the world champion Emanuele Becchis, Alessio Berlanda and Michele Valerio will be renewed.
