The Summer Grand Prix also begins. Continuing the monopoly of Sara Takanashi?

The 6th edition of the Summer Grand Prix will take off Saturday from Courchevel. In France, a highly qualified presence is announced, since almost all the strongest athletes should be in the lead.

According to the preliminary list, it is expected that they will be in the top 15 of the top 18 of the last World Cup. The only unavailable weights are those of the Austrian Daniela Iraschko-Stolz and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, plus the Slovenian Maja Vtic. At the appointment on the transalpine land, it will soon follow the unpublished Frenstat pod Radhostem in the Czech Republic on the days of 18 and 19 August. The last stage of the GP "pink" will be held in Chaikovsky, Russia, on 9 and 10 September. A total of 5 races, as many as staged in 2015 and only one less than the 6th overall record of 2013. The strong theme of the season on plastic concerns whether or not the almost absolute assassination of Sara Takanashi continues. So far the Summer GP has proved to be the land of conquest of the phenomenal Japanese, which has always won the overall standings and has set itself in 16 of the 20 competitions played in history, with a victory rate of 80.0%! As if it were not enough, in the summer context, Japan has been unbeaten for four years and has won the last 14 competitions in stage. Courchevel is the place where historically had the biggest problems. This was the site of his last stop, which was dated by August 2013 and, above all, the only two top-level summer races where he missed the podium have been on the Tremplin au Praz (K90 / HS96). This structure was built in 1990 in view of the XVI Winter Olympic Games and still resists its original design. Since 2011, it has been subject to some upgrades, but without any real restructuring. Renowned training center, however, Courchevel has a limited number of women in the field of the Summer Grand Prix. Curiously, all four contests have had the character of having two athletes in the same country on the podium. In 2012 he won the Canadian Alexandra Pretorius in front of the Austrian Daniela Iraschko-Stolz and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger. In 2013 there was a triumph in Slovenia, with Ema Klinec to impose and Katja Pozun to occupy the third position. Among them were the Japanese Sara Takanashi, second. In 2015 the test came to an end with a Japanese apotheosis. Takanashi broke the taboo and drifted ahead of compatriot Yuki Ito. The lowest stage of the podium was occupied by Iraschko-Stolz. In 2016, Japan picked up first and third place with Takanashi and Ito. In the middle was the Austrian Chiara Hölzl. The official female record belongs to Sara Takanashi, who on July 15, 2016 reached 101.5 meters (5.5 above the Hs).
