The jumper Dutch Wendy Vuik announced via Twitter his retirement from competitive activity'' with a short message: "Dear friends and family, you know that over the past 10 years I have given everything to the ski jump, but it all comes to a end and I decided to end my career. "

Vuik, born in 1988, has played 36 World Cup races in his career with a fourteenth place as best result and participated in three editions of the World Championships, where she finished twenty-third twice. Has not been able to earn a pass for the Olympic Games in Sochi.
