HISTORY The Holmenkollen skifestival, or Holmenkollrennene, is an event established in 1892 consisting of a series of competitions belonging to all Nordic disciplines played on the hill near Oslo.
The special jumping however had to wait nearly four decades to find a place within the event, which has become in effect an integral part since 1933.
Since then there are 9 winters "holes" for jumpers, five of them due to World War II (1941-1945). Three other occasions (1954, 1994, 2016) have instead been the bad weather conditions (wind or fog) prevent the competitions. Finally in 2009 he has not played any evidence because the trampoline did not exist. Sull'Holmenkollenbakken was in fact being built the present futuristic structure (K120 - HS 134), which has taken the place of the previous one.
Notwithstanding 84 years of history, the purpose of the presentation will be taken into consideration only the so-called top-level races, ie those included in the program of the Olympic Games, the World Cup and in the calendar of the World Cup.
Until today in Oslo have been held 41 individual. 35 of them have had value for the World Cup, 7 for the World Cup (1930, 1966, 1982, 2011) and one for the Olympic Games (1952). The sum of the subdivision says 43 because the world championship of 1982 tests were also awarded points for the Crystal Ball. It should be noted, however, as 5 of the forty-one races will not be played sull'Holmenkollenbakken, but on smaller Midtstubakken, built on the other side of the hill.

However, two years ago a contemporary jumper has earned a prominent place among the great of the event.
